Customer Grooming Agreement
By booking with Bex Mobile Dog Grooming you are agreeing to the following:
Aggressive/difficult dogs: Owners MUST inform Bex Mobile Dog Grooming if their dog/s bite, have bitten, can be aggressive towards people and/or if they are known to behave aggressively for any or all of the dog grooming process eg. nail trimming, blow drying etc. The owner must be able and willing to assist with restraining and/or calming their dog upon the request of the groomer if the dog is being too difficult and/or aggressive. The groomer reserves the right to use a muzzle on a dog at their discretion. The groomer reserves the right to stop grooming and return a dog regardless of completion if at any time they feel the dog is acting dangerously or is behaving so poorly that the groom cannot be completed safely.
Reactions to products: Whilst we only use high quality products on your pets, there is always a rare risk that (from no fault of our own) a dog may have a skin reaction/irritation from something we use. Owners MUST inform Bex Mobile Dog Grooming of any and all skin issues that their pet/s have or have had in the past. If concerned about the dog’s sensitivity to products it is the owner’s responsibility to provide Bex Mobile Dog Grooming with an alternative shampoo they would like used instead.
Matted dogs: If a dog has a heavily matted coat, Bex Mobile Dog Grooming will have no choice but to shave the coat right back so it can start again fresh. Removing a heavily matted coat is difficult and includes risks of nicks, cuts and abrasions. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the dog’s skin causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. The after effects of mat removal procedures can include skin redness, self inflicted irritations and itchiness. As it is the owners responsibility to prevent such matting from occurring, if the dog requires veterinarian treatment due to any of the above issues as a result of this shave, Bex Mobile Dog Grooming is NOT responsible for any costs incurred. The price of this groom will increase depending on the extra time required to remove the matted coat.
Double coat shave down: I understand that Bex Mobile Dog Grooming does not recommend proceeding with shaving a double coated dog. I am aware of the associated risks (listed below) and if I choose to proceed I understand and accept that:
1. My dog’s coat may not grow back after shaving
2. My dog may require sunscreen to protect their skin from being burned
3. Shaving may cause irritation and/or a rash
4. A double coat acts as insulation in both warm and cold weather and shaving may not make the dog feel cooler
5. Shaving does not reduce the amount of shedding, just the length of the fur that sheds
6. Depending on the dog’s coat type and the length requested, clipping down a double coat can look uneven and choppy
By booking with Bex Mobile Dog Grooming you are agreeing to the following policies:
- Cancelation/change of booking*
24 hours notice is required to be given for any alterations to your appointment including date, time and amount of grooming requested. - Late/no show*
If we arrive to your property for your appointment and nobody is home, we will not wait longer than 15 minutes before departing as we are on a tight schedule. - Owner’s Prescence
Unless organised well in advance with Bex Mobile Dog Grooming, an owner must remain home for the duration of the entire groom from arrival of groomer to the return of your dog.
Under no circumstances will we enter your premises without you present, this includes for dog collection and setting up for the groom/connecting to utilities. - Parking and utilities
Easy access to parking for grooming unit must be provided prior to estimated groomer arrival. Utilities (water and electricity connection points) must be within 15 metres of this parking. - Fleas
If fleas are found present on your dog, a compulsory flea rinse/treatment will be usedat an additional cost of $10.00. - Dog aggression
If your dog shows signs of aggression during the grooming or handling process a muzzle may be applied safely to your dog for as long as required. This is for everyone’s safety and is non negotiable.
If your dog’s behaviour is deemed by the groomer as too aggressive, too difficult or the dog has become overwhelmed, grooming may cease and the dog may be returned unfinished.
Owner assistance may be required for aggressive and/or difficult dogs. - Waiver
You may be asked to read and sign a waiver/Customer Grooming Agreement at any time.
You may choose not to sign this however Bex Mobile Dog Grooming then has a right not to proceed with your grooming appointment.
*Failure to comply may result in additional fees
